Bursary
Every year the school offers a 80% bursary to a student for a place in year 7. This Bursary will be offered to an accomplished musician who also achieves a consistently high academic standard. Please note, only one 90% Bursary will be available.
The Bursary Criteria are:
1 - The applicant must be working at Grade 3 or above in at least one musical instrument.
2 - The applicant must be working at a good and strong academic level.
3 - The applicant must attend our Bursary Assessment day where they will be required to sit English and Maths Assessments, have a personal interview, and perform a piece of music in their chosen instrument.
There will be a Bursary Assessment Day for prospective pupils every February. Applicants will be expected to attend the whole day. The bursary is not means tested and is for the pupils entire time at LHAA.
Applicants and their families are invited to a Bursary Information Meeting which is held approximately two weeks before the Assessment Day. The Information Meeting and Assessment Day dates will be publicised on this website, on posters and banners and in personal invitation letters
